MINUTES SENATE FINANCE COMMITTEE 13 April 1997 2:05 p.m. TAPES SFC-97, #105, Side 1 (000 - 597) 105, Side 2 (597 - 000) 106, Side 1 (000 - 589) 106, Side 2 (589 - 000) CALL TO ORDER Senator Drue Pearce, Co-chairman, convened the meeting at approximately 2:05 p.m. PRESENT In addition to Co-chair Pearce, Senators Sharp, Phillips, Torgerson, Parnell and Adams were present when the meeting convened. Senator Donley arrived shortly thereafter. SUMMARY INFORMATION CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 75(FIN) am(brf sup maj pfld) "An Act making appropriations for the operating and loan program expenses of state government, for certain programs, and to capitalize funds; making an appropriation under art. IX, sec. 17(c), Constitution of the State of Alaska, from the constitutional budget reserve fund; and providing for an effective date." CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 76(FIN) "An Act making appropriations for the operating and capital expenses of the state's integrated comprehensive mental health program; and providing for an effective date." She noted correction on page 2, under "Senate Finance Subcommittee, gf/other" the corrected amount should be "$248.4" and without objection it was corrected. Senator Donley noted on page 1 "Division" of Tourism should read "Office" and under "Senate Finance Subcommittee, GF" the amount should read "$23.1" and under "total" the amount should read "$28.1" and without objection it was corrected. Senator Donley moved the Tourism spread sheet be adopted and without objection it was adopted into the Department of Commerce and Economic Development. Amended FRONT #9 was moved by Senator Torgerson and was adopted without objection. Co-chair Pearce outlined the schedule for the eommittee to meet Monday, 15 April. She stated her intent to move HB 75 and HB 76. Formal minutes of the meeting were not prepared since pertinent financial information is available in Conference Committee Reports on the FY 98 operating budget.
